
Rose Ann Hancock, 93, of Paris, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Life’s Journey Senior Living. She was a devoted homemaker.
A service celebrating her life is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Templeton Funeral Home. Burial follows in Embarrass Cemetery near Redmon. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hancock was born May 31, 1925, at Paris, the daughter of the late Forrest and Gertrude Nail McDaniel. She married Earl V. “Shorty” Hancock March 20, 1943, at Terre Haute, Ind. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2012.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Linda) Hancock and Pam Brown, both of Paris; four grandchildren, Melissa Hancock of Paris, Robin (Mike) Likens of West Terre Haute, Ind., Kyle Hancock of Greenwood, Ind., and Jackie (Marc) Lawson of Savoy; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen McDaniel, and a son-in-law, Dan Brown.
Mrs. Hancock was a member of the Redmon Christian Church. She was an avid euchre player. She and husband were accomplished square dancers and enjoyed wintering in southern Texas for many years.
Memorial donations may be made to Redmon Christian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
