Maxine Board

Maxine Anne Board, 88, of Paris, passed away at 4:25 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation Center. She retired June 1, 1983, from CBS at Terre Haute, Ind.

Services are noon, Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Dixon officiating. Burial is in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Board was born Oct. 19, 1927, at Paris, the daughter of the late Ray and Cleo Lee McCrocklin Waltz. She first married Robert Earl Bell, and he passed away Oct. 26, 1945. She later married Denzell Sherman Board Sr. Sept. 9, 1946, at Scottland, and he passed away Aug. 16, 1999.

She is survived by her children, Roberta Rinehart of Paris, Linda (Greg) Vice of Ladoga, Ind., and Gordon (Jean) Board of Paris; her brothers, Lawrence “Bud” Waltz of Paris and Andrew Waltz of Paris; 12 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by two sons, Denzell Sherman Board Jr. and George Allen Board; and her siblings, Jim Waltz, Ray Waltz, John Waltz, Marcella Branson, Genevieve Bartlett, Margaret Bartlett and Carolyn Arbuckle.

Mrs. Board was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
