DANVILLE –Donna Kay Blair Offutt, 64, passed away peacefully Sept. 28, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. Internment at Sunset Memorial Park is private. Leek and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Offutt was born Oct. 25, 1952, at Paris, the daughter of Don and Rachel Blair. She married Paul Offutt May 3, 1975, at Paris, and he survives.

Other survivors include her mother, Rachel Wilson Blair of Paris; brothers, Scott (Judy) Blair, Randy (Tanya) Blair of Paris; brother-in-law, Michael (Beth) Offutt of Bismarck; and her sister, Cyndi (Paul) Ward of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don Blair, her father-in-law, Everett Offutt, and her mother-in-law Wilma Offutt.

Mrs. Offutt was a graduate of Paris High School and Paris Beauty School. After graduating, she moved to Danville, where she began working as a hairdresser and met her husband Paul. They shared 42 years together as husband and wife and as owners of their businesses Offutt Construction, later re-named Offutt Development, and Security Ventures. The recently became involved as partners of the Autumn Fields Assisted Living Communities of Hoopeston, Savoy and Tilton.

On her own, she was responsible for opening and managing both the Danville and Champaign Pier One stores and the Danville TCBY. Everyone that knew her, knew her to be hard working, never idle and dedicated to the community.

The family offers their heartfelt gratitude to their many friends, employees, along with all of her doctors and their staffs for their limitless support and kindness during her illness.
