CASEY – Wanda June Robey, 88, of Greenup, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey. She was a retired factory worker from McQuay and SKF.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Markwell Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Fortkamp officiating. Burial follows in the Mount Cemetery, south of Casey. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robey was born June 25, 1928, at Yale, the daughter of the late Berl Emil Collins and Mary Louisa Hickox Collins. She married Leonard Herbert Robey July 2, 1945, at Marshall, and he passed away Dec. 23, 2015.
Survivors include son, Michael Leonard Robey of Lehi, Utah; daughters, Connie Jean Sullivan of Greenup and Mary Ann (Harold) Funk of Casey; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Robey; brother, Edward Collins; and sisters, Norma Jean Campbell, Eva Adeline Farley and Anna Lee Collins.
Mrs. Robey was a member of the Casey Church of Christ in Casey. She played piano and sang with Collins Girls for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother, and family was everything to her. She was an extraordinary cook and had a great sense of humor even to the end.
