Minnie Jane Johnson, 89, of Newman, and formerly of Metcalf, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
Graveside services and burial are private in Friends Chapel Cemetery at Scottland. Templeton Funeral Home of Paris is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 18, 1928, at Paris, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Harrison Chapman. She married Oscar Edsel Johnson Feb. 11, 1944, at Spartanburg, S.C., and he preceded her in death July 9, 2004.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn (Tony) Ray of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandson, Todd (Chana) Ray of Tuscola; great-grandson, Christian (Cheyenne) Ray of Tuscola; great-granddaughter, Brooke Ray of Tuscola; and great-great-grandson, Asher.
She was preceded in death by an infant son.
Mrs. Johnson attended Chrisman United Methodist Church.
