Lou Ellen Stege, 84, of Paris, passed away at 10:35 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was a homemaker and worked at Raytheon.
A memorial service is 11 a.m., Saturday, March 25, at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial is at a later date at the Danville National Cemetery, Danville. The Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangments.
Mrs. Stege was born Aug. 15, 1932, at Matteson, the daughter of the late Herman and Minnie Schoeling Kummelehne. She married Wilbert D. Stege March 1, 1952, at Matteson, and he survives.
She is also survived by her children, Kenneth W. (Marci) Stege of Wichita, Kan., Gary A. (Terri) Stege of Dunnville, Ky., and Kathleen S. Tuggle of Mahomet; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Keith W. Stege; her brother, Harold Kummelehne; and her son-in-law, William Tuggle.
Mrs. Stege was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
